#MarcusMotivation

#MarcusMotivation

Being a college graduate, one of the best feelings I ever had was walking out of my last final. The hard work I put in for the past 1460 days (4 years) to finally be able to say I did it was a feeling like no other. I walked across the stage should the President of Springfield College's hand and celebrated. Then it hit me. I thought to myself.... Now what? What is my motivation now? I have my degree. It took me a little while but I had to remember that schooling is not the only way to educate yourself. Whether I go on to earn my Master's degree or Doctoral is not the only way I can continue my education. Now that I am in pursuance of being the best personal trainer in the world, I have to continue to educate myself on the newest trends, different ways to improve my training, and ways to help my clients get better results. I WILL NEVER STOP. I will always work to get to the top and once I'm their my reign there will last as long as I'm able to. One day I believe that Glo Up Fitness will be spread across the world helping people and even when that happens I will still be grinding like I am now posting this message. Reason being is because there will be people after my spot. People will want to take me down and start their reign. I refuse to let that happen. Nothing can stop me from putting in the grind and being the best there is at what  I do.

Moral of the Story:

Even when you reach you reach your goals and dreams don't think the journey is over. Keep working every day and keep learning more and more to remain at the top. Once you accomplish goals that just means new ones are born. Always strive for greatness.

#MarcusMotivation

I was listening to a Les Brown speech the other day and he asked the crowd what is the richest place on Earth. People answered the United States, China, all different types of countries. He said that the richest place on Earth is a graveyard. That gave me chills. He said the reason why a graveyard is the richest place on Earth is because there lies so many people who's dreams and aspirations lie there with their bodies. People who could've became the doctor who cured AIDS, or the person to discover a more efficient source of energy. The reason why those things that potentially could've happened but didn't is because those people didn't take the risk and give everything they had to try to reach those goals. So on this morning you wake up and say I'll work on that tomorrow I say "Why not now?" The reason is because that could be you who may not have the PRIVILEGE of seeing tomorrow and when you are being laid to rest there goes all the dreams and goals with you. Now I won't promise you it will be easy because it won't. At some point life will punch you straight in the teeth, but if you're really about reaching your goals, when you get knocked down it's about coming back even STRONGER!

Moral of the story:

Don't just sit there and wait for your dreams and goals to come to reality. Wake up and crush those goals TODAY.

The #GloUp Never Stops....

The #GloUp Never Stops....

Every day if you put a little time in on working on your goals that will soon add up to eventually reaching them. I challenge you to put in 30 minutes at least a day working on your goals. ‪#‎GloUp‬

Why do you wake up?

Why do you wake up?

Every morning at 6:30am my alarm goes off... Then at 6:45 it goes off again and I get up to go to work. I take a shower, I brush my teeth, I get dressed, I take my dog for a walk, then I head to work. I'm there from 8-4:30 Monday through Friday. Now at 4:30 I could give praise that my day is over..... but that isn't the case. Have I worked on my goals today? Have I progressed myself to move forward to my dreams at all today? I still have to "Go to Work". I may be tired from a long day. I work in customer service, but that doesn't mean I can stop. I'm going to keep GRINDING EVERY SINGLE DAY until I reach my goals, and even then I can't stop working. I don't even know what a day off is anymore. I remember as a kid I was watching a video of Kevin Garnett and he said "when you're not working on your craft, someone else is." My goal is to be able to inspire the world to be fit and live a healthy lifestyle so it looks like I have a long way to go to reach that.

Moral of my morning rant:

Today I want anyone who reads this to not just go home today and crash on the couch. What are you looking to do in the future? What inspires you? What are your goals? Take some time today to go and work on those goals. Don't go to sleep without working on being who you want to be. Your future self will thank you. Think about that when you wake up.
